Derek Thorn sits on top of the Sunoco Driven Challenge standings after his early season success in the SRL Southwest Tour.  Fellow SRL driver Jim Pettitt III is second with ARCA/ CRA's Johnny VanDoorn in third. Jason Gilbert from SRL and Brian Campbell from ARCA/CRA are the rest of the top five. Preston Peltier, Brandon Ward, Johnny Clark, Scott Hantz and Land Cling make up the top 10.

Joe Gibbs Racing and Sunoco launched the Sunoco Driven Challenge earlier this year with a chance for drivers to earn a test with Joe Gibbs Racing in a NASCAR K&N racecar following the 2012 season. The grand prize includes a test with JGR, a meeting with JD Gibbs, and travel expenses. Runner-up prizes will also be awarded.

To be eligible for the 2012 Sunoco Driven Challenge, drivers must be registered competitors in one of the following qualifying grassroots series: PASS North, PASS South, ARCA CRA Super Series, ASA Midwest Tour, or SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series.
