1,240 Mile Trek
Heading into this year’s spring event, Bearden and his team have begun to figure out their new car, and have posted some impressive results. Bearden showed his speed early in the season with an eighth place qualifying effort in the 2018 Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway. He followed that up with a ninth place qualifying effort and a 12th place finish in the North-South Super Late Model Challenge 100 at Fairgrounds Speedway at Nashville in Nashville, TN. The event was a combination race between the Sunoco Southern Supers Series, ARCA CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and CARS Response Energy Tour.
With his run of recent success, Bearden is feeling confident that his trip to Las Vegas could end in Victory Lane.
“I believe we can compete for a win, with not only the speed we have shown, but also the group of guys that are making it possible at the race track and in the shop”, Bearden told the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series.
Logan will bring his Parker Electric, Bearden Automotive Chevy SS to Las Vegas, hoping to draw a 21, and take the $10,000 winner’s check, thanks to David Mulcahy and Retro Custom Metals, back to Texas. It would certainly make the 1,240 mile trek home seem much shorter, and create a memory in Vegas that he would never forget.
