1. RADIO FREQUENCY CORRECTION: Spotter must monitor SRL Race Control with a scanner or stand-alone radio at 461.2000. You will be required to have your radio checked during Friday’s Tech Inspection to be sure you are able to scan SRL Race Control at 461.2000.  Please note the radio frequency listed on last week’s ‘Updates’ was incorrect.  461.2000 is the frequency the SRL has used since the first race.

2. FRANK’S RADIO SERVICE: Frank’s Radio Service 800-869-9712 will be at CNS to take care of any of your radio needs. 

3. PARKING/PIT STALLS: There will be assigned Pit Stalls for all teams competing with the SRL. Please let us know if you have any special parking request – no later than Monday. If you are a local team that rents a space from CNS, please let us know the space that you rent, and we will try to assign you to that spot. Contact: lcollins@mesamarin.com

4. PIT FEES:

Friday: $100 practice fee per car, plus $10 Pit Pass per person. 

Saturday: $25 NASCAR Member/$35 non-NASCAR Member Pit Pass.

You can purchase Saturday Pit Passes on Friday.

5. REQUIRED DECALS: To be eligible for any and all cash awards at the event, all contingency decals are required to be in place in proper locations, the Spears Manufacturing windshield decal must also be in place. 6. DUPLICATE CAR NUMBERS: Cars running the same number is allowed, but each car will be required to display a minimum four-inch first letter of the driver’s last name low and behind the car number on each side. This will be required before you pass tech inspection. We will post a list of entries to show duplicate numbers. Current Duplicate Numbers Pre-entered: 22, 24

7. TIRES: The Hoosier ST1/ST2 combination will be used at CNS. The track will service the event, which means you will be required to purchase your race set of tires from the track, and those tires will be impounded until released by the SRL Officials on race day.  You may bring in your own practice tires as usual.  Order of tire selection will be based on the order of paid entries received.  Once established, we will let everyone know what time tire selection will begin on Friday.

9. FRIDAY PRE-TECH: All cars will undergo inspection by assigned appointments on Friday, maximum four crew members plus the driver with the car in tech inspection. Inspection order will be handed out upon entering on Friday, first inspection will be scheduled at 4pm. 

10. TAPE RULE: No TAPE is allowed on the car except for the brake ducts and TOP HALF the grill screen (3 inches must be open), must be followed at all times – practice, qualifying, race. (A small strip at the bottom of the valance is also allowed.)

10. QUALIFYING TECH – ON THE GROUND: Once pre-qualifying tech opens on Saturday, all cars are to be on the ground ready to roll to tech at 3:20pm sharp – hood on, no wiping down, cars on the ground – ready to roll. The penalty will be the slowest of your two qualifying laps if your car is not on the ground at 3:20pm on Saturday.  An official will come to your pit to direct you into the tech line.  You have been warned – it’s in your hands, the rules and policies of this series are for everyone to follow.

12. IMPOUND: Cars will be impounded after qualifying.

13. MAIN EVENT RACE FORMAT:

• 150 lap event.
• Starting lineup will be a Top 8 Redraw from Qualifying Results
• Competition Yellow after 40 consecutive green flag laps. Not within the last 15 laps.
• Four tire race.
• Double file restarts, only the leader may choose inside or outside on the restarts.
• Break at or around Lap 75 for Fuel and Adjustments.

14. BREAK: At the lap 75 break, teams will have 8-minutes to make adjustments and fuel the car.

• Once all the cars are stopped for the break, a signal will be given when the crews can go to the cars. Must wait for the horn signal before going to or touching the car.
• Maximum 5 crew members to service the car.
• Car may only be jacked up one side at a time (jack stand mandatory if anyone goes under the car).
• Tires may not be removed unless an SRL Official is asked and is present.
• Teams must have a manned fire extinguisher while fueling the car.

15. NATIONALLY TELEVISED: The race will be livestreamed on SPEARSRacing.TV, live, and will be nationally televised at a later date on MAVTV. Team uniforms are not mandatory, but let’s do our best to represent our team and series in a professional manner.

1. PIT GATES:  Unless you have been directed to do, no team is allowed in the pit area before gates open or unload prior to an SRL Official giving the ok to do so. Thank you.

17. NO GOLF CARTS, SCOOTER, QUADS: No golf carts, quads, bicycles, or any type of motorized scooter, etc. allowed on the raceway grounds. THE INJURED OR HANDICAPPED MAY BE ALLOWED SINGLE PERSON SCOOTERS – MUST GET PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE SRL.

18. FUEL: SUNOCO 110 is the spec fuel for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, available at the track.

19. SATURDAY OVERNIGHT: If you choose to do so, you may leave your rig in the CNS pit area overnight on Saturday and pick it up Sunday morning after 6am.
