2023 DATE SET FOR CALIFORNIA’S

ALL-STAR SHOWDOWN

(September 8, 2022) Irwindale, CA – Irwindale Speedway is pleased to announce that on January 21, 2023, the ‘All-Star Showdown’ will return to Irwindale Speedway. 

The weekend will be the opening event of the season for all four of the SRL’s race divisions; the “SPEARS (SRL) Southwest Tour Series”, the “SPEARS Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services” and the “SPEARS Modified Series presented by MAVTV” and for the first time the “SRL National.”  The winner’s purse for the event will be $25,000 for the Super Late Models, $10,000 for the Pro Late Models and $5,000 for the Modifieds.

“The All-Star Showdown’ is a phenomenal event for us to get our annual race season started.” said Irwindale Speedway President, Tim Huddleston. “Our entire Irwindale Speedway team along with the SRL could not be more excited for the return of the All-Star Showdown in 2023”

The All-Star Showdown will serve as the season opening race for the SRL National.  The SRL National schedule for 2023 will begin at Irwindale’s All-Star Showdown with the balance of the event schedule taking place east of the Rockies.

“There’s not a better place to start the 2023 season than at Irwindale Speedway in sunny Southern California,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins.  “And there’s not a better track when it comes to three, four and sometimes five wide racing.  We appreciate Tim Huddleston and Bob Bruncati for putting this event together and having the SRL be part of it.”
