GILBERT ENTERS STOCKTON 99
Gilbert will be making his first series start since the second event of the 2019 season, when he finished 13th in the 25-car field at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA. The Dublin, CA driver competed sporadically last season in his Super Late Model, but he did secure a sixth-place finish in the $25,000-to-win Summer Showdown at Evergreen Speedway. It was his second top-10 finish in four event appearances. In addition, he had a strong eight-place run in the Fall Open Comp, at the LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track.
Overall, Jason will be making start number 51 in the SRL. He has 12 top-five and 25 top-10 finishes in his career. His best championship finish was fourth in both 2012 and 2013. At the historic “99” Speedway, Gilbert has performed very well, with arguably his best results in the series. In his 10 starts he has four top-five’s and eight top-10’s. The former Altamont Motorsports Park Late Model Champion finished ninth in the series last visit to Stockton in 2018.
