Randy Marshall Jr. Adds to Northwest Contingent Looking for $10,000 SRL Win in Las Vegas
Randy Marshall Jr. will be a part of the strong Northwest contingent of Super Late Model drivers heading south from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho for the Retro Custom Metals 137” at the LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track on November 21st. It will be the Moxee, WA drivers first start in the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series as well as the Bullring. He is coming off consecutive sixth place finishes at the Fall Classic at Yakima Speedway and the Northwest Super Late Model Series finale at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval.
Marshall is a two-time Yakima Speedway Track Champion as well as the 2017 Champion of the West Coast Late Model Series. It is a series at which he holds eight wins in only 19 starts. He was also the winner of 2019 Fall Classic at Yakima Speedway, in a car that had zero laps on it when they arrived. Marshall hopes to parley that success into their effort at the Bullring on November 21st, against the drivers and teams of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series.
“I am very excited to come down from the Northwest to race with literally the best on the West Coast”, Marshall stated. “I just can’t thank all of my friends and family enough, for scraping enough money together, to be able to have this opportunity. We literally are the team that has no money, but outruns the money teams. There are just too many people to thank for this opportunity, and I am so grateful to each one of them.”
The “Retro Custom Metals 137” will be run on November 21st, with $10,000 going to the winner thanks to David Nava Mulcahy (Homie). The Spears Modified Series will join the SRL in the event, for the “OPTIMA Batteries 75 presented by FAST – Fuel Air Spark Technology”. Practice will occur on Friday the 20th, with three sessions for the Super Late Models, beginning at 3:45 pm (PST) and ending at 7:30 pm. Saturday will find the Super Late Models practicing from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm. Qualifying is scheduled for 3:15 pm. The Last Chance Qualifier (if needed) will follow, with feature events rolling off thereafter. There will be a halfway break on lap 68 for the SRL Super Late Models.
