2020 CHAMPIONSHIP FINALE NOTES
TESTING:
- Kern County Raceway is available for private testing. Contact us to reserve your time.
- The cutoff for private Super Late Model testing at Kern is this Saturday(tomorrow), December 12th at 3pm.
- Kern County Raceway will be available for Pro Late Model and Modified testing up to Friday, December 18th, see below.
FRIDAY PRACTICE (December 18th)
- Who: Modifieds and Pro Late Models Only
- Times: Gates 10am, Practice 11:30am to 3:30pm
- Parking: Rigs will need to be removed from the infield pit area by 4pm, due to an evening Drive-In Movie fund raiser for the ‘Wounded Heroes Fund’ at the track. We will find a secure place to park your trailer overnight on the raceway grounds.
- Fee: $150 per car – No Pit Pass required
- Note: All rigs will have to be removed from pit area by 4pm on the 18th due to an evening Drive-In Movie fund raiser for the ‘Wounded Heroes Fund’ at the track.
- You must notify us in advance if you plan to be part of the Friday practice.
FUEL – Please let us know how much fuel you will need to purchase at the track, we have to justify making a minimum order for the race weekend.
REGISTRATION: Saturday
- Hours: 9:00am – 4:00pm
- Pit Passes: $50
- Open Practice: (10:00am – 1:00pm) $200 for Super Late Model / $100 for Pro Late Models and Modifieds.
PERSONAL VEHICLE PARKING – Similar to the “October Classic”, the south parking lot outside of Turns 1 and 2 will be closed, please do not enter that lot for any reason, unless you are a big rig or toterhome driver entering the pit area at the Turn 3 entrance. All parking and RV’s will be in the lot northwest of the tunnel. Thank you.
DRIVER’S MEETING – We will write up a comprehensive list of Driver’s Meeting notes before race day, so we will have less to go over during the actual Driver’s Meeting, once we post this information, please read over the notes carefully.
OPEN PRACTICE SATURDAY MORNING – This is an option for teams that want to participate in the Open Practice before the day officially starts. Reserving your spot ahead of time is required.
QUALIFYING:
- Modifieds and Pro Late Models lineups will be set by the time sheet of the final practice on Saturday. There will be a redraw or invert to finalize the lineup.
- Super Late Models will have single car qualifying as usual – with a redraw.
SPOTTERS – Spotters must be on the infield seatrain container, or on top of a railed observation deck of a trailer anytime your car is on track for practice or qualifying. For the race events, spotters will be located on the concourse (concession) level of the grandstand area. If your spotter is not in position – your car will be black flagged.

Caution after 25 consecutive laps of racing – not within the final 25 laps
FOOD and BEVERAGE: ‘Food and Drink’ Concessions will be Open.
