Cole Moore is Excited to Return to the SRL All-Star Showdown at Irwindale Speedway
One driver, who is especially looking forward to the $30,000-to-win “Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown” at Irwindale Speedway on February 6th, is 2019 Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series Champion Cole Moore. Moore was forced to miss the last three events of last season’s schedule, due to business matters, but he is primed to get back to the track and compete against his fellow SPEARS Southwest Tour Series competitors.
“I’m extremely excited to make my return to the Southwest Tour, especially for the All-Star Showdown”, Moore exclaimed!
Moore entered the October Classic at Kern County Raceway, sitting third in the 2020 championship standings, but was unable to attend due to business commitments. Moore will now return to an event that marked his worst finish of the 2020 season. Last February, Moore finished 18th in the season opener for the series. His seventh at Irwindale, later in the season, was his second worst finish, as he scored that in July. His remaining starts earned him one top-five and three additional sixth-place finishes. In his six career SRL starts at Irwindale, Moore possesses one top-five and three top-10 results.
The Granite Bay, CA competitor will now look for his first career SRL victory, after getting three Pacific Challenge Series Super Late Model wins in 2018 alone. A $30,000 win would certainly be the biggest victory of his career, following his 2020 NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Late Model Track Championship at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA in 2020. Moore will be participating in a limited SRL schedule in 2021, but feels the team will be ready for possibly the biggest Super Late Model event on the West Coast this season.
“With a limited schedule for me in the “Tour” this year, due to me running the full season of ARCA Menards West for BMR in the #20 NAPA Power Premium Plus Toyota, I’m happy that I won’t be missing arguably the biggest race on the West Coast of the year”, Moore explained. “My Super Late Model program, I expect, will still be very competitive, and we will be hoping for a great finish. I’m excited to see all my friends and fellow racers that I missed out on in the last three races of 2020.”
