Motor City Throwdown Challenge
The Motor City Throwdown Challenge will pay a $2,500 bonus to one driver before the end of the 2021 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship. The $2,500 bonus will be paid by long time series sponsor Motor City Buick GMC in Bakersfield.
The Motor City Throwdown Challenge is structured as follows:
- If current points leader and winner of five straight SPEARS Southwest Tour Series races, Derek Thorn, wins the remaining four races of 2021 he will receive the $2,500 cash bonus.
- If any SPEARS Southwest Tour Series driver wins one of the next four races and ends Thorn’s win streak, that driver will receive the $2,500 cash bonus.
The remaining 2021 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series schedule includes races at Irwindale Speedway (July 17th), Stockton Speedway (August 14th), All American Speedway (September 18th) and Kern County Raceway (October 23rd).
