VORSE TO MISS OPENER AT MADERA
Modesto, CA — Jared Vorse of Olympia, WA will not be behind the wheel of the #3 Bob Strandwold Racing (BSR) Chevrolet at the 2013 SRL season opener due to a illness in his family. Cindy Vorse (Jared’s Mother) and backbone of Vorse Motorsports was recently diagnosed with cancer.
“I was devastated when Cindy called and told me the sad, sad news,” stated Bob Strandwold. “I told Cindy that we will pray for her healing and will keep her in our prayers.”
2012 was Vorse’s first year driving the BSR #3 Chevrolet, leading 58 laps on the year, with two top five’s and six top tens, to place sixth in the final SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series championship.
“The Vorse family is going to have many challenges in front of them and I have told Kelly (Jared’s Father) and Cindy that the Strandwold Family is here for all the support and prayers to help heal this illness. BSR will not run the # 3 until Jared and his family can come back and compete again under the BSR banner. I know the SRL family will keep the Vorse family in their prayers.” added Bob Strandwold
BSR will begin the 2013 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series season at Madera Speedway on March 16th with drivers Donny St. Ours in the #1 car and Michael Sandoval in the #5 car.
