Oakdale, CA driver Blaine Rocha calls The New Stockton 99 Speedway his home track. On July 15th, Rocha will make the short hop over to Stockton to compete in the “JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. Wild West Shootout – Dog Eat Dog 127” for the Spears SRL Southwest Tour on July 15th. Round #3 of the “Wild West Shootout” mini-series will pay $10,000 to the winner, where Rocha will seek his first Stockton 99 Speedway series win.
Rocha has eight starts at Stockton in his Super Late Model, with two top-five and four top-10 finishes. He came home fourth in last year’s edition and had a personal best of second in 2021. That is the same year Rocha nearly came home with a $7,500 prize in the Spears Pro Late Model Series “Asparagus Cup 125” on the historic ¼-mile. Rocha is a two-time winner in the series, grabbing victories at the LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track and at Kern County Raceway Park. He is coming of a fifth-place run at KCRP on June 17th after running a more national schedule in 2023.
Round #6 of the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will be the 33rd trip to the ¼-mile oval for the series. The “JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout – Dog Eat Dog 127” will pay $10,000 to the winner, and $1,000 to start, for those on the Spears Frequent Flyer Program. It will be the only trip to Stockton for the series in 2023. They will be joined by the Spears Pro Late Models presented by Sigma Performance Services and the Spears Modified Series for the very first time. The NCMA Sprint Cars are also on the schedule. Admission Gates open at 5:00 PM with Racing at 6:00 PM.
