Shepherd Looks for Two In-A-Row at Irwindale Speedway

Bakersfield, CA – 2021 Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series Rookie-of-the-Year Buddy Shepherd will return to the track on September 16th for the “Allie Bakes 100” at Irwindale Speedway (CA). Round #8 of the season series will see Shepherd racing for a $7,333 win with an additional $500 going to the lap 33 leader. Shepherd missed the last two rounds but will be back at an event he won one year ago looking for his third SRL victory.

Shepherd is a three-time MAVTV Pro Late Model track champion at Madera Speedway (CA). He is a track champion at Kern County Raceway Park (CA), he was the winner of the $10,000-to-win Short Track Shootout at Madera and the $10,000-to-win “J&M Environmental 150” at All American Speedway. At the 2018 SRL “Winter Showdown 300” at Kern County Raceway Park he set Fast Time and finished second to Kyle Busch in a 48-car field. He has 37 starts with the Spears SRL Southwest Tour earning the two wins, 19 top-fives and 26 top-10’s. This weekend he will look to add one to each of those numbers.
