Bakersfield, CA – Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway (CA) will be the site of the Spears Manufacturing 60 presented by Liuna”, the season opening event for the Spears Pro Late Model Series on April 20th. One driver, who has winning experience at the ½-mile facility, is hometown racer Seth Wise. Wise has two victories at Kern, grabbing a win in his very first series start in 2021. Just under a year later, he earned another victory, but has been searching for that third triumph ever since.
Wise earned a third series victory in 2022 at Irwindale Speedway, and he is coming off a third-place finish in the October Classic at Kern last year. He was the series champion that season, scoring two victories, and 10 top-fives, while never finishing outside the top-10.
His 2023 season was a disappointment for the former champion, but he is ready get back on track at his home track, where he feels confident about his chances.
“Kern is always a great place for us, and we love being able to run at home”, Wise stated about Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. “As a team we’ve been getting a lot better and more consistent everywhere we go. So, I’m feeling really good about going into this weekend!”
Wise has a great group of supporters involved in his Pro Late Model program, and he would like to thank each of them.
“I would like to thank Ted Hill at Support Product Services, Christian at Curutchague Farms, Darrell Abbott at Destined4Destinations, Sully & Son Hydraulics, David Nava Mulcahy at Salted Metals Architectural Metals, California Staffing Solutions, Victory Circle Chassis & Custom Fabrication, Russell Edwards, Harold F. Raymond at A Sign Factory, and Prime Time BBQ
Wise will be one of the favorites for the $2,500 victory. The series will compete alongside the ARCA Menards Pro Series West teams on a big weekend of racing in the oil town. This will be the fourth season for the Pro Late Model series, founded in 2021, and their 11th stop at Kern, where there have been seven different winners.
