2024 Upcoming Event Updates and Reminders

• Kern Raceway, June 28^th and 29^th, Featuring the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series, Spears Manufacturing Modified Series and the track’s big annual Fireworks Show. 

• Redwood Acres Raceway, July 26^th and 27^th – We wanted to get this information out early regarding the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and Spears Manufacturing Modified Series event at Redwood Acres Raceway, in Eureka, CA. The SRL has not been to Redwood Acres Raceway since 2016, but it has always been a place that is always worth the tow, with an old school feel, along the coast with the average high in July of 67 degrees. 

1. SLM Prize Money – This race will be part of the ‘JM Environmental Wildwest Shootout’ and will have added support from the Steve Schmitt Family at Big Valley Sanitation to allow the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series race to pay $15,000 to win.
2. Tires – With Hoosier unable to service this event, the race will utilize the American Racer AR153 (The same tire the ‘SRL National’ has used at ‘The Rattler’, at Mobile and the Bigley) for the Super Late Models. The Spears Manufacturing Modified Series will use the American Racer 970 for the event. Tires may be ordered through the SRL at any time prior to the race – The AR 153’s will be available at Kern on June 28^th, to pick out and take with you, leaving a set of wheels with the SRL at the June 29^th race at Kern is highly recommended.  (AR 153 is $180/tire)
3. Testing – Due to the long distance to get to Redwood Acres Raceway for most teams, there will no private SPEARS Southwest Tour Series testing allowed prior to the event.
4. Flights – There are commercial flights available into the Arcata Airport out of Burbank.
5. Appreciation – A big thanks goes out to Dave Furia the ‘Promoter’ of Redwood Acres for 2024, and helping make his event happen.
6. Hotel Information – Don’t wait to make your reservation as the cool weather and the area draws tourist this time of year.

• Colorado National Speedway, August 16^th and 17^th – This event will feature the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and Spears Manufacturing Modified Series:
  1. At this time, we plan to have the SRL teams purchase their race tires for the weekend through Colorado National Speedway. SLM – Hoosier ST1 & ST2, Mods – Hoosier 970 respectively.

• Roseville, All-American Speedway, September 6^th and 7^th – This weekend is currently a tentative date for Super Late Models for the March 23^rd rain out.

• Irwindale Speedway, September 13^th and 14^th – Spears Manufacturing Modified Series on the 1/3 mile at Irwindale Speedway.

• Stockton 99 Speedway, September 20^th and 21^st – SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series and SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series at Stockton 99.
  1. This race will be part of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series ‘JM Environmental Wildwest Shootout’,and will pay $10,000 to win.

• October 25^th and 26^th – The “October Classic” featuring the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series, SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series, Spears Manufacturing Modified Series, and the ARCA West Series at Kern Raceway.
