Cale Kanke Heads to Colorado National Speedway
Bakersfield, CA – The son of the winningest driver in NASCAR Southwest Tour Series history is headed to Colorado National Speedway (CO) for the Salted Metals Architectural Metals 150” on August 17th. Cale Kanke, the son of MK Kanke will make his 49th appearance in the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series and his second at Colorado National Speedway. He finished 18th in 2023, experiencing mechanical issues. Kanke will seek his first victory and his 10th top-five finish.
Kanke is coming off a fifth-place finish at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. All of his 9 top-five finishes have come in his last 26 series starts with three of them runner-up finishes. Kanke has gotten close to Victory Lane, but his first series win has eluded him. The story was similar for his father, as it took M.K. 72 NASCAR Southwest Tour Series starts before rattling off 22 victories in “The Tour”.
The younger Kanke will rely on the experience of his RPM Motorsports team and his father M.K., who is a three-time winner at the facility. With support from Allie Bakes, RPM-PSI.com, Metal Chem Plating, and W.A.R. Shocks, watch for the multi-time winner in the Dirt Modified ranks, to be in contention for Victory Lane once again, and leave Colorado on a high note.
The Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will visit CNS on August 17th for the “Salted Architectural Metals 150”, paying $10,000-to-win, thanks to David Mulcahy with Salted Metals. It will be the third visit for the series after Chris Muhler won in 2007 with Jace Hansen winning the 2023 edition.
Celebrating its twenty fourth season in 2024, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
