2018 Colorado Regional Series championship runner-up Michael Scott

2018 NASCAR Advanced Auto Parts Colorado Regional Series championship runner-up Michael Scott will make the trip from Hillside, WY to Colorado National Speedway (CO) for the “Salted Metals Architectural Metals 150″ on August 17th. The trip could be worth $10,000 for the driver who sits third in the CNS Super Late Model championship standings.
Scott will make his third start in the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series and second at CNS, where he finished fourth in the 2023 “Salted Architectural Metals 150”. He finished sixth earlier that season at Tucson Speedway (AZ).
The 2024 season at CNS shows Scott with a win, five top fives and no finishes worse than sixth. The 2019 “Chilly Willy 150” winner was second in the championship standings in 2023, scoring another victory. He finished in the top five in both 2017 and 2018 adding another win to his resume. In just over a week, he will look to add a Southwest Tour Series win to his portfolio.
The Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will visit CNS on August 17th for the “Salted Architectural Metals 150”, paying $10,000-to-win, thanks to David Mulcahy with Salted Architectural Metals. Second will pay $3,000, third $2,500, and fourth $2,250 thanks to Vecchiarelli Land and Trust. It will be the third visit for the series after Chris Muhler won in 2007 with Jace Hansen winning the 2023 edition. The Spears Modified Series will also join the action, racing for a $5,000 winner’s purse.
Celebrating its twenty fourth season in 2024, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
