Ross Strmiska Scores Top Three in Vegas

Manteca, CA – Ross Strmiska and his Mainline Equipment/Jack Tone Vineyards Team finished an impressive third in Saturday night’s SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series “GoLiveStream.TV – Blackjack 121” at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Strmiska, the third generation driver from Manteca, CA started 14^th in the 29 car SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series field.

“Qualifying 14^th was disappointing, but we felt good about how the car was going to race,” said Strmiska.   “Once the green flag dropped we started moving forward, the car was working great in the second groove, so we made a lot of passes on the outside.”

By the half-way point of the 121 lap event, Strmiska had made his way into the top 5, with less than 20 laps remaining, he moved into 3^rd.

“This series is so tough, with so many good teams, it feels good to get up front and put ourselves in position to contend for the win.  We finished 4^th in Stockton and now 3^rd in Vegas, so we’re moving the right direction.” added Strmiska

Strmiska is now 4^th in the championship standings as the team prepares for its next race on Saturday, June 1^st, when the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series makes its first ever appearance at Redwood Acres Raceway in Eureka, California.
