ROSS STRMISKA CONTINUES FAMILY TRADITION
Manteca, CA – Ross Strmiska, the third generation driver from Manteca, CA and his Mainline Equipment/ Jack Tone Vineyards team are set for the upcoming SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season. With the season opener at Madera Speedway less than week away, Strmiska is ready and confident heading to the 1/3-mile oval.
“We finished second at Madera in June, and we always seem to have a good car there,” said Strmiska. “Last year we had a great first half of the season, but we lost our momentum in the second half of the year. Our plan for 2014 is to stay strong all season.”
Strmiska had just one finish outside the top four in the first five races of the 2013 season.
“This series is tough, if you’re inside the top ten, you have to battle hard for every position, but that’s why we choose to race in this series, it’s the toughest competition anywhere.”
The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season opener at Madera Speedway will start on Friday for the #90 team with open practice, then continue Saturday with two practice sessions, qualifying and the 125 lap Melo’s Gas and Gear 125.
“I have to thank all our sponsors for their continued support so we could come back this season, Mainline Equipment, Jack Tone Vineyards, everyone who helps us out, and all the guys on the team. ” Strmiska concluded.
Strmiska Racing is supported this season by; Jack Tone Vineyards, Mainline Equipment, Naake Suspension, David’s Racing Products, Farmers Blacksmith and Welding, Schroeder Torsion bars, Tilbury Napa auto parts, Eibach springs, Joes Racing Products, Performance Signs & Graphics and Iron Mike Motorsports.
