2015 SRL S2 Tour Series Schedule Announced

Bakersfield, CA – The management of the SRL is proud to announce the 2015 schedule of event for the SRL S2 Tour Series.

The 2015 ‘SRL S2 Tour Series’ championship will consist of ten race dates, eleven points paying main events competing at four of the finest race tracks in the region.

“The SRL S2 Tour Series continues to exceed our expectations year after year,” stated the SRL’s Brian Olsen. “The S2’s success is based on the low cost to operate a full size stock car, and the high level of competition due to the spec configuration of the car.”

For 2015, the SRL S2 Tour Series will visit four different raceways, with the season opener at Madera Speedway on March 21^st. The series will then travel to Kern County Raceway Park on April 18^th, for the first of four stops the S2 series will make at the Bakersfield track in 2015. On June 6th, the series will compete at Irwindale Speedway the first of four events.   The SRL S2 Tour Series will end its season once again at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The ten-event schedule for 2015 will have the S2 Tour Series competing on five occasions with the SRL’s flagship SPEARS Southwest Tour Series.

“The S2 Tour Series fits well with our overall objective to grow the SPEARS Southwest Tour. Young drivers have a place to hone their skills in full-size stock cars, and compete on a variety of tracks. At the same time, the S2’s are a great place for drivers of all ages to compete in a cost effective and competitive format.” Olsen concluded.
