SPEARS Southwest Tour Series 2013 Schedule of Events Released

BAKERSFIELD, CA — Nine SPEARS Southwest Tour Series race dates are set for 2013, with one or the possibility of two additional dates being added after the first of the year.

“We wanted to get our dates out to our teams before the holidays,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins.  “We have two ‘TBA’ dates on the schedule, as we continue to work with the new Kern County Raceway Park to solidify a date for 2013, and we’ve had conversations with new management at Irwindale Speedway, All-American Speedway, and Tucson Speedway regarding 2013.”

The series is set to return to four tracks that have become established dates for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, Madera Speedway (March 16 and June 29), Stockton 99 Speedway (April 6 and August 17), Rocky Mountain Raceway (July 20), and The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (May 11 and November 16).

New destinations for the teams of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series in 2013 include the 3/8-mile Redwood Acres Speedway (June 1) in Eureka, CA and the one-mile D-shaped oval at Pikes Peak International Raceway (September 29) in Fountain, CO.

“Our plan is to add at least one more date to the schedule on September 7^th or on one of the four Saturdays of October,” Collins explained.  “Our teams have continued to express their preference of a ten race schedule, but are supportive of an eleventh date.”

The 2013 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will begin at Madera Speedway on March 16^th and will conclude on November 16^th at Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
