SPEARS Southwest Tour Series Finalizes 2018 Schedule
Bakersfield, CA –The SPEARS (SRL) Southwest Tour Series is excited to announce its 2018 schedule is now complete. The ten-race schedule will kick off in a big way, with the $30,000 to win Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway on February 3rd. The Winter Showdown will be a non-points event for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, Late Models and Super Stocks. The 2018 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series point’s championship will begin on March 24th at Madera Speedway and end at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 17th.
The tentative schedule was announced in December and with the Irwindale Speedway continuing to race in 2018, the series will now head there twice. The southern California half mile has been a staple on the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series schedule for many years will now host the series on June 9th and July 14th.

It is one of the premier racetracks in the country and the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series always puts on a good show there for the race fans.” stated the SRL’s Brian Olsen. “In addition to being a great racetrack, its an important market for our series, as our title sponsor, Spears Manufacturing, is headquartered in nearby Sylmar, CA.”
Celebrating its eighteenth season, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will begin the 2018 season with the Winter Showdown on February 2nd and 3rd and close out its championship at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on November 17th.
