Austin Herzog Seeks SRL All American Speedway Victory
Bakersfield, CA – Austin Herzog ended his 2023 Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series season on a high note, finishing second at Irwindale Speedway (CA) and third in the “October Classic 135” at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. For Herzog, they were two of his four top-three finishes during the series championship season. After the postponement of the “All-Star Showdown 200”, Herzog will make his 2024 SRL debut at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA on March 23rd, in Round #1 of the “JM Environmental Wild West Shootout”, worth $10,000-to-win.
Herzog has two Super Late Model starts at the 1/3-mile, earning two top-10 finishes in the Pacific Challenge Series. His most recent touring start at AAS was in the Spears Pro Late Model Series, finishing second in 2021. Herzog is looking forward to his return to the fairgrounds facility in Roseville, CA.
“I’m excited to get back to Roseville”, Herzog exclaimed! “We had a really good run there during our last outing, finishing P2 in the Pro Late Model. Hopefully we can top that and bring our Cen Cal Roofing And Solar car home P1!”
The Clovis, CA racer finished seventh in the championship standings in 2023, missing only the The New Stockton 99 Speedway event. He has been knocking on the door of Victory Lane since finishing second to Derek Thorn in 2019 at Madera Speedway (CA). His SRL career numbers have found him in the top-five in nearly half of his starts. Now the former Pro Late Model Track Champion at Madera hopes series start number 17 will result in a $10,000 victory.
Herzog is sponsored by Cen-Cal Roofing and Solar, Superior Doors, Richard Herzog Construction, and VanDoorn Racing Development.
