Cale Kanke Hopes to Repeat Fathers Success at All American Speedway

Bakersfield, CA – Cale Kanke has yet to earn a top-five finish at All American Speedway in either his Legend or his Super Late Model. But the Dirt Modified star has seen great improvements in their Super Late Model program over the last several seasons. Kanke will look to capitalize on those improvements when the Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series visits the 1/3-mile oval on March 23rd for the “JM Environmental Wild West Shootout Rock the House 127”. It is the opening round for the series, now in its’ 24th season.
Cale has only three starts in a Super Late Model at Roseville, but he has five in a Legend. He does have two top-10’s in the big car, but his best finish has been an eighth in 2021. Cale’s father Mike (M.K.) has had a plethora of successes in Roseville, winning in the SRL in 2009, his championship season. He also has a basket full of near victories, finishing second three times in the NASCAR Southwest Tour and with the SRL. He was third in his last start at the facility in 2012. Cale and the RPM Motorsports crew seek to recreate some of that magic on March 23rd.
“We have struggled a little bit there, but we have worked on our cars a ton, since the last time we were there, as well as continually improving our communication between the team and I”, Kanke stated. “We did have a decent run or two going there before, but in one I made a driver mistake, and the other involved some bad, luck by getting turned.”
The younger Kanke has gotten closer and closer to Victory Lane in his “Tour” car. He has finished second in three of the last nine SRL events he has entered, finishing behind series champions Jacob Gomes and Jeremy Doss twice. He has now recorded 46 starts in the series, with eight top-five and 23 top-10 finishes. Kanke will be looking to add to those numbers at Roseville and possibly add one to the victory column.
“I am looking forward to going back there to see how much improvement we have made, and I hope to be in the hunt chasing that checkered flag. Our goal would be to have a solid top-three run.”
Kanke is supported by Allie Bakes, RPM-PSI.com, WAR Shocks, Metal Chem Plating and Coating, and the RPM Motorsports Team.
The Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will open their 24th season on March 23rd at All American Speedway, in the $10,000-to-win “JM Environmental Wild West Shootout Rock the House 127”. It will be the fourth time the series has opened its’ season on the one-third mile and the 14th visit overall.
Celebrating its twenty fourth season in 2024, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
