Dane Nissen made first start with the SRL Southwest Tour in 2024
Bakersfield, CA – Dane Nissen was one of 10 different competitors to make their first start with the SRL Southwest Tour Series in 2024. Nissen made his debut at Redwood Acres Raceway and finished sixth in the “JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. Wild West Shootout – Money Talks 127 presented by Big Valley Sanitation”. Nissen was fast in the Derek Thorn Racing Super Late Model, leading one of Friday’s Practice Sessions and qualifying fourth for the feature event.
Nissen is a veteran of the Northern California Super Late Model wars, participating in the North State Challenge Series, Pacific Challenge Series, Nor-Cal Best in the West Series, and the Super 6 Late Model Challenge Series. He has wins at Redwood Acres Raceway in the “Rhododendron 100”. He has multiple wins at Shasta Speedway, including October’s traditional “Shasta 125” event. He is also a winner at Lakeport Speedway. Dane was a preliminary night feature winner at the “Chilly Willy 150” at Tucson Speedway., finishing second in the big race in 2019.
