ERMISH SET TO MAKE SECOND “TOUR” OF DUTY

Modesto, CA – Beginning at the upcoming race at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Troy Ermish is teaming with Bob Strandwold Racing (BSR) to compete for the remainder of the 2013 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series season, driving the #5 Allied Auto Chevrolet.

“Bob has always had top notch equipment and I’m really looking forward to racing in the SRL again.” commented Ermish, who leads in all-time career starts (89) in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series.

Ermish’s last full time effort in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series was in 2009, were he finished 5th in the championship driving for BSR.  That season’s highlight was setting the track record, and then capturing the win at Irwindale Speedway.  Troy has spent the last year and a half racing vintage cars on road courses on the west coast.
“After driving in the K&N series in 2010 and part of 2011, I realized how much I
missed the Tour Cars and the drivers and teams of the SRL series.  It’s going to be a lot of fun running with Bob and his team again, and Vegas is always a great race.”
