Multi-time The New Stockton 99 Speedway Late Model winner Tim Surgeon
Multi-time The New Stockton 99 Speedway and Altamont Motorsports Park Late Model winner Tim Surgeon will make his first Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series start since 2021, when the series visits Stockton on September 2nd for the “JM ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. Wild West Shootout Doug-Eat-Dog 127” Spurgeon is a veteran racer with starts in the ARCA Menards Pro Series West dating back to 2010. He has three top-10’s in that series and has a best SRL finish of 10th at Stockton in 2018.
Spurgeon has six previous attempts in the SRL, the earliest dating back to 2004 at Altamont Motorsports Park. His last start was in the ARCA West Series, where he came home 12th at Shasta Speedway. He has one start in the Sioux Chief Showdown for the ARCA Menards Series, where he finished 19th in the 38-car field at Phoenix International Raceway. The two-time West Car Late Model Series winner will be looking for a $10,000 victory this weekend at his home track with support from David’s Racing Products and Kleen Blast Abrasive Warehouse.
