For Immediate Release: SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series Media

Bakersfield, CA – Tracy Bolin has been a staple in the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series since 2003. He is rapidly approaching his 100th career start in the series and his next one will tie him with Troy Ermish for sixth on the all-time list with 95. That next event will be the JM Environmental “Wild West Shootout 147” presented by 51 FIFTY LTM” which will be Round #1 of the special three-race series for the Super Late Models. The event will pay $8,000 to the winner and another $2,000 in lap bonuses at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA’s 1/3-mile. A $5,000 bonus will be awarded to the winning driver, if they qualify into the top-eight, and elect to start in the back. That top-eight occurrence has been achieved by Bolin once already this season.

Bolin will be looking for his second career touring series Super Late Model win, after coming home first in the “Bill Schmitt Memorial” race at Shasta Speedway with the Pacific Challenge Series. It was an event he won in front of 2018 SRL Champion Jeremy Doss. In his SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series career, Bolin has 16 career top-five and 42 career top-10 finishes.

Bolin’s 2021 season could be described as one of frustration. He has shown good speed at several of the events on the schedule, but has yet to secure his first top-10 of the season. He finished 12th in the last event at Stockton 99 Speedway, after practicing in the top-five for most of the weekend. The Valley Springs, CA veteran has seen dry spells before, but knows it is part of racing. The ninth-place finisher in the 2019 Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway remembers the advice from an old friend, when contemplating his season to date.

“The late Mike Roos said, “There will be more bad nights then good nights”, and I’m not a quitter”, Bolin stated.

The series will now head to All American Speedway for Round #5 of the season, and the first of two in Roseville. The track has seen Bolin run well at the facility, securing three top-five and seven top-10 finishes in nine touring series starts. Just last August, Bolin came home with a top-five finish in the blistering 114-degree heat. It was not the first time Bolin has run strong there.

“Roseville has some characteristics that fit my driving style”, Bolin told the SPEARS SERL Southwest Tour Series.

Although  Bolin has more laps at All American Speedway than most of his competitors, he does not feel that it will give him a big advantage. He feels the level of competition is so close that track position will be a huge key.

“I think all my experience at Roseville will leave me with not so much of an advantage, because everyone is so close in speed”, Bolin admitted. “But it will depend on starting position and how the car is handling.”

When asked about his goals for the weekend, it is not surprising that Bolin has high expectations.

“I expect to be winning or in the top-five”, Bolin divulged.

Tracy will be looking to get his season back on track at All American Speedway. He would love to finish off the first half of the season on a high note. To achieve that goal, Bolin is thankful for the support he has received.

“I would like to thank Mike David of David’s Racing Products, Ty Joiner, Dave & Mary Barnes, Michael Kuntz, Fitz Demolition and my beautiful wife, Patricia Bolin for always getting me ready for races.”

This weekend is Round #1 of the JM Environmental “Wild West Shootout – Are You Ready 147 presented by 51 FIFTY LTM.  $8,000 will go to the winner, plus a $1,000 bonus for the leader at Lap 27 and 127.  In addition, if a driver qualifies in the Top-eight, elects to start from the rear of the field and wins, they’ll take home a $5,000 bonus!!
