Randy Hedrick Enters Stockton
Randy Hedrick will be throwing his hat into the ring for the June 6th “JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout – Shoot to Thrill 127 presented by 51 FIFTY LTM” at The New Stockton 99 Speedway. The winner could take home as much as $6,500 for the win, with Fast Time paying $500 and the Halfway Leader receiving a cool $1,000. It will only be Hedrick’s second touring series start at the historic speedway, and first in the Spears Srl Southwest Tour, but if he can repeat his 2015 runner-up finish in the Pacific Challenge Series, he will surely be satisfied.
Hedrick was a winner in both the Pacific Challenge Series as well as the Nor-Cal Best in the West Touring Series for Super Late Models. The veteran driver also has starts in the NASCAR Southwest Tour Series and Westcar Late Model Series, to go along with 14 starts in the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series. Hedrick will be debuting a Super Late Model that he purchased from John Moore, following the Irwindale Speedway SRL opener. He will also debut a new Crew Chief, with Dave McGinnis calling the shots.
Hedrick will be teaming up with 2006 SRL Champion Eric Schmidt, as the duo will be a tandem to be reckoned with. Schmidt is currently fourth in the championship standing, sitting one point behind Linny White. Hedrick will concentrate on his Pro Late Model at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA in 2020, but this will be one of several SRL starts for the Reno, NV driver.
The management at Stockton 99 Speedway is working on the question of fans in attendance, and we will make an announcement as soon as a conclusion has been reached. Thank you to our fans for your patience and support in these unprecedented times. Hope to see everyone at the track soon.”
