Bakersfield, CA – Kole Raz entered the Salted Architectural Metals 150” at Colorado National Speedway (CO) winless in Super Late Model touring series competition. He had 19 starts with the SRL Southwest Tour Series, nine starts with the Northwest Super Late Model Series, two starts with the Southern Super Series, and a Berlin Raceway (MI) start with the UARA National. The Oswego, OR driver was definitely overdue for a victory, after big wins in the “Summer Showdown 150” and the Mark Galloway Shootout” at Evergreen Speedway (WA), the “Miller 200” at South Sound Speedway (WA), the “Wenatchee 200” at the Wenatchee Valley Super-Oval (WA), and the “Chilly Willy 150” at Tucson Speedway. (AZ). On August 17th, Raz put an end to that winless streak, taking home $10,000 at the 3/8-mile CNS oval with the SRL Southwest Tour Series. He led all but 11 laps in the event, driving his total to 421 laps led in his SRL career.
The 2021 Kulwicki Driver Development Program finalist continued his success in 2024, winning in the ARCA Menards Pro Series West event at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway (CA) and the “Star Nursery Classic” for Super Late Models at the Bullring at LVMS. He ran in the top five for much of the “Snowball Derby”, at 5 Flags Speedway (FL), before a late caution shuffled him back. In 2025, Raz will seek to continue his success in the Jefferson Racing prepared Super Late Model sponsored by Cyclum Truck Stops, Union 76, and Apache Rental Solutions.
Celebrating its’ twenty fifth season in 2025, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
