Shepherd Makes First Trip to Redwood Acres Raceway

 
For the first time in his career, Buddy Shepherd will visit Redwood Acres Raceway (CA). The Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series championship leader will make his second start in a row at a new facility to the team. He is coming off a third-place result at Colorado National Speedway (CO) and will now go for a $15,000 win on August 31st in the “JM Environmental Inc Wild West Shootout Money Talks 127 presented by Big Valley Sanitation”
Shepherd was a winner at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway in June and hasn’t finished worse than third during the 2024 championship season. The driver out of Bakersfield, CA was the series 2021 Rookie-of-the-Year and currently has four series victories. He is a three-time MAVTV Madera Speedway Pro Late Model track champion, as well as a Late Model champion at Kern.
He has a $10,000 win in “Short Track Shootout” at Madera Speedway (CA), as well as another $10,000 win in the “JM Environmental Highline 150” at All American Speedway (CA), both in his Pro Late Model. He won the Pole in 2018 at the prestigious “Winter Showdown” over a 48-car field, finishing second to Kyle Busch.
The Spears SRL Southwest Tour Series will return to Redwood Acres Raceway on August 31st for the “JM Environmental Inc Wild West Shootout Money Talks 127 presented by Big Valley Sanitation”. $15,000 will go to the winner.
