THE SPEARS SOUTHWEST TOUR KICKS THE DOOR OPEN ON 2013 AT THE LOANMART MADERA SPEEDWAY
Madera, CA (3.8.13) – March 16th the LoanMart Madera Speedway ROARS into action with the Spears Southwest Tour Melo’s Gas & Gear 151 presented by 51 FIFTY Energy Drink!
The Spears Southwest Tour is one of the hottest racing series in the Country, come out and see tomorrow’s stars of stock car racing fly around the new race track at the LoanMart Madera Speedway. Will it be one of the veterans like Pettit or Kanke that takes home the victory and all the attention? It was Kanke and Pettit that each won an event in 2012 at the LoanMart Madera Speedway making it a clean sweep for the veterans.
Or will it be 2012 champion Derek Thorn settling a last lap score with Pettit taking home the gold, or maybe one of the young guns like Strmiska, Vorse, Gomes, Gilbert, or another driver making a name for themselves by whipping the big dogs of the Spears Southwest Tour in this season opener? Find out on March 16th at the LoanMart Madera Speedway!
The undercard includes the LunkerDaddy Late Models, and last year’s champion Tony “the Tiger” Schmitz will have his hands full as the 2012 LoanMart Open Series Champion Matt “Matt Attack” Erickson is entered in this event. Names that stand out to challenge Schmitz in the list of LunkerDaddy drivers include “Racin” Jason Aguirre and Donnie Large. This is the class that also features two girls that could give Danica a run for her ride; they are Emma Tucker and Nastia Dodd. If that is not enough 2012 hobby stock champion Frank Mazzie and rookie of the year Ryan Hart have moved up to the Late Models as well.
Also racing on this must see night is the Legends of the Pacific, Toyota Sedans, SRL S2 Series, and the fan favorite 18 second Bracket race!
This is going to be one of the best nights of stock car racing in 2013 featuring more than 300 green flag laps of racing at the LoanMart Madera Speedway on March 16th!
Pit gates open at 11:00am, grandstands open at 3pm, practice begins at Noon (grandstands are open for free until 3pm), Qualifying begins at 3:30 for the undercard classes, and at 5:15pm for the Southwest Tour. B Mains and Main events follow qualifying.
