TIRE TEST CONDUCTED THIS WEEK
Bakersfield, CA (November 18, 2022) – On Monday of this week, the SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series and Hoosier Tire West conducted a tire test at Kern County Raceway with driver Blaine Rocha.
The purpose of the test was to test the durability and performance of a new tire combination for the 2022 SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series when competing on ½ mile tracks.
At the end of the day, once the test was concluded, the decision was made to utilize the Hoosier 3035 on the left side and the F50 on the right for all events scheduled at Irwindale Speedway and Kern County Raceway in 2022.
“Blaine and his team did a great job today conducting the test for us, we appreciate their efforts,” stated the SRL’s Larry Collins. “The teams should be happy next year with this new combination, as we saw good performance and durability with reduced tire temps on long runs.”
The new combination will be implemented at the season opening “Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown” at Irwindale Speedway on February 12th, 2022.
