Trevor Cristiani Looks for Continued Success in SRL’s Retro Custom Metals 137
The state of Idaho will send another representative to the $10,000-to-win Retro Custom Metals 137” on November 21st. That representative is a three-time Super Late Model Series Champion. Trevor Cristiani holds championships in the Northwest Super Late Model Series (2018), Rocky Mountain Challenge Series (2013) and the Pacific Challenge Series (2011). He is a multiple-time winner in the Spears Modified Series and holds another championship in the Intermountain Outlaw Modified Series (2017) with a career total of eight wins in only 15 starts. He will now go in search of his first Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series win.
Cristiani has had a strong 2020 season, despite Covid-19 concerns. He had two Super Late Model wins at Magic Valley Speedway, in Twin Falls ID, and three at Meridian Speedway. He made the trip back east to Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (TN), for the All American 400, but a vibration ended his day early with a 19th place finish.
Cristiani has two career SRL starts at the LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track, with a best finish of fifth. In the Senators Cup Fall Classic Open Comp for Super Late Models, he has three top-10’s in three efforts, as well as another top-10 in the 2020 “Star Nursery 100” Open Comp for Super Late Models. In four SPEARS Modified Series events, he has a best finish of fourth and a worst of 11th.
“I am really looking forward to getting back to the Bullring”, Cristiani told the SPEARS Southwest Tour. “We have had pretty good speed there the past several times we have ran the open shows. I am hoping we can keep that momentum going into this event.”
Cristiani has had a great racing program over the years and he continues to do so in 2020. To reach the level of success he has achieved, it takes a team effort and support from dedicated sponsors. Trevor would like to thank the following businesses for their support; Steelhead Metal Corp., Neil Alan Fine Jewelry, Conrad & Bischoff, Gibson Diesel Performance, Executive Lawn Care, PBT Auto Sales, Swift Springs, Wild West Welding & Repair, Parrie Auto Body, AR Bodies, and Riverview Mini Storage.
The “Retro Custom Metals 137” will be run on November 21st, with $10,000 going to the winner thanks to David Nava Mulcahy (Homie). The SPEARS Modified Series will join the SRL in the event, for the “OPTIMA Batteries 75 presented by “FAST – Fuel Air Spark Technology”. Practice will begin on Friday the 20th, with three sessions for the Super Late Models, beginning at 3:45 pm (PST) and ending at 7:30 pm. Saturday will find the Super Late Models practicing from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm. Qualifying is scheduled for 3:15 pm. The Last Chance Qualifier (if needed) will follow, with feature events rolling off thereafter. There will be a halfway break on lap 68 for the SRL Super Late Models.
For those who can’t attend the event, catch the action live at www.SpearsRacing.TV, with your paid subscription. The event will also be shown on MAVTV and a date to be announced later.
Celebrating its twentieth season in 2020, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is a regional stock car series competing on paved ovals in the southwestern portion of the U.S. “The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series…Where the Champions Race”.
