  1. PARKING: Please let us know if you have any special parking request.

 

  1. TESTING: No testing allowed the week of the event.  Saturday, August 10th would be the cut off for any SLM testing.

 

  1. TIRES: The Hoosier ST1/ST2 combination will be used at CNS. The track will service the event, which means you will be required to purchase your race set of tires from the track, and those tires will be impounded until released by the SRL Officials on race day.  You may bring in your own practice tires as usual.  Order of tire selection will be based on the order of paid entries received.

 

  1. PRE-TECH: All cars will undergo inspection by assigned appointments on Friday, maximum four crew members plus the driver with the car in tech inspection. Please stay back away from the car during inspection to allow officials room to conduct inspection.  Inspection order be based on the order of paid entries received.  This is a convenience for the teams, be on time, or the system doesn’t work, and a penalty may be issued.

 

  1. SPOTTERS: Spotters must be utilized at all times your car is on track. The spotter must monitor race control with a scanner or stand-alone radio at 2000.  Spotter’s location will be designated for the main events.

 

  1. TAPE: No TAPE is allowed on the car except for the brake ducts and TOP HALF the grill screen (3 inches must be open), must be followed at all times. (A small strip at the bottom of the valance is also allowed.)

 

  1. QUALIFYING TECH – ON THE GROUND: Once pre-qualifying tech opens on Saturday, all cars are to be on the ground ready to roll to tech at the time that Qualifying Tech opens – hood on, no wiping down, cars on the ground – ready to roll. The penalty will be the slowest of your two qualifying laps if your car is not on the ground at the opening of tech on Saturday.  An official will come to your pit to direct you into the tech line.  You have been warned – it’s in your hands, the rules and policies of this series are for everyone to follow.

 

  1. MUFFLERS: A muffler must be used and installed in a configuration that will suppress exhaust noise to a maximum 95DBA at 100 feet.

  1. IMPOUND: Cars will be impounded after qualifying.

 

  1. MAIN EVENT RACE FORMAT:

 

 

  1. BREAK: At the lap 75 break, teams will have 8-minutes to make adjustments and fuel the car.
  • Once all the cars are stopped for the break, a signal will be given when the crews can go to the cars. Must wait for the horn signal before going to or touching the car.
  • Maximum 5 crew members to service the car.
  • Car may only be jacked up one side at a time (jack stand mandatory if anyone goes under the car).
  • Tires may not be removed unless an SRL Official is asked and is present.
  • Teams must have a manned fire extinguisher while fueling the car.

 

 

  1. NATIONALLY TELEVISED: The race will be livestreamed on SPEARSRacing.TV, live, and will be nationally televised at a later date on MAVTV. Team uniforms are not mandatory, but let’s do our best to represent our team and series in a professional manner.

 

  1. PIT GATES:  Unless you have been directed to do, no team is allowed in the pit area before gates open or unload prior to an SRL Official giving the ok to do so. Thank you.

 

  1. NO GOLF CARTS, SCOOTER, QUADS: No golf carts, quads, bicycles, or any type of motorized scooter, etc. allowed on the raceway grounds. THE INJURED OR HANDICAPPED MAY BE ALLOWED SINGLE PERSON SCOOTERS – MUST GET PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE SRL.

 

  1. FUEL: SUNOCO 110 is the spec fuel for the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series, available at the track.
