UPDATES and REMINDERS 2: IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY
PIT REGISTRATION SIGN IN: All SRL Competitors, Crew Members, Family Members, Friends, Sponsors etc. are to sign in at the designated SRL Credential Windows.
FRIDAY NIGHT TEAM BBQ: Following Friday night’s practice at Irwindale Speedway, Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, is providing dinner for SPEARS Southwest Tour Series drivers and crew members. Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse will provide a FREE meal to those that have SPEARS Southwest Tour Series’ pit pass wristbands and claim tickets (to be provided on Friday at registration).
PATRIOTS HONOR DECALS: Each team will be asked to display a ‘Patriots Honor’ decal on your b-pillar or quarter window. Decals will be handed out at track.
SPEAKING OF DECALS: IMPORTANT – All wheels must be marked (L) left or (R) right, with the proper car number.
IRWINDALE TIMES:
Friday, August 18th – Gates 1pm, Crew Chief Meeting 2:30pm, Pre -Tech Inspection 2:15pm – 7:15pm, First Practice 4:15pm
Saturday, August 19th – Credentialed Teams Enter 10:00am, Credential Sales and Pit Gate11:00am, Driver’s Meeting 11:45am followed by a spotter’s meeting, Practice 1 – 2pm, Qualifying Tech opens at 3:15pm.
BACKGATE FEES:
Friday Pit Pass: $30/SRL Members and $40 non-Members – No charge per car for Friday practice.
Saturday Pit Pass: $30/SRL Members and $40 non-Members
FRIDAY TECH: All cars are required to roll through the scales on Friday between 2:15pm and 7:15pm.
SCANNING REQUIRED: It is mandatory to scan race control (frequency 460.0125) during the race. We highly recommend that all spotters use a stand-alone unit designated for race control whether it be a second radio or a scanner. Each team must supply one spotter in designated area for communication with driver and SRL officials. Radios and spotters are mandatory whenever your car is on the track. We need to improve communication during the event, and get our line-ups in order much quicker.

SOUND LIMITS: The DB rule of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is maximum 95dba at 100 feet at all tracks, unless the track requirements are under 95dba. Please do your work in the shop.
FROM THE SRL RULE BOOK: DECALS
- Driver’s name to be in minimum two-inch letters above driver’s side door. (EMT request)
- The driver’s last name is to be displayed on both sides along or just above the rocker panel below the car number in 5” readable letters.
- All the SRL contingency sponsors’ decals must be placed on all cars to be eligible for any and all event prize money, points and/or awards. The location of these decals will be designated by the SRL. The contingency pack will be supplied by the SRL.
- Decals, advertising logos, text or identification of sponsors must not be placed on the front (forward part) of each door and/or each front fender (from the front edge of the door number forward).
TELEVISION COVERAGE: MAVTV will nationally televise this weekend’s ‘Patriots Honor’ 100.
