VEGAS BACKGATE FEES:
Friday Pit Pass: $20 SRL Members / $40 non-Members – No charge per car for Friday practice.
Saturday Pit Pass: $40/ea.
Note: The track sets the pricing, which is the same for both the SRL and the Lucas Oil Modifieds.
PIT REGISTRATION SIGN IN: All SRL Competitors, Crew Members, Family Members, Friends, Sponsors etc.are to sign in at the SRL credential windows at Las Vegas.
FRIDAY TECH: All cars are required to roll through the scales on Friday between 3:30pm and 7:30pm.
ENGINE TECH: If your engine or carb needs to be inspected and sealed, please respond to this email, or contact Ricky Brooks at 850-324-6821.
FUEL CELL BLADDER: The manufactures date on all fuel cell bladders must be within 7 years of current date. The series must have record of your fuel cell being up to date and sealed by May 5that The Bullring.
IMPORTANT – Please have two bolts drilled to accommodate a wire seal on your fuel cell “Fill Plate”, so an SRL Official can install an “SRL Wire Seal”.
TIRES: 3035’s left side, 3045’s right side. Pre-order from Hoosier Tire West at 559-485-4612.
FUEL:Rebel Oil will be at the Bullring selling SUNOCO 110; Friday from 3pm to 7pm, and Saturday 1pm to 6pm. $10/Gal. net.
PARKING: The Top 12 teams coming to Vegas in the current SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship points, and their teammates will park in order in. But, the order which the teams enter on Friday, is simply based on first in line, first to enter.
SOUND LIMITS: The DB rule of the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is maximum 95dba at 100 feet at all tracks, unless the track requirements are under 95dba. Please do your work in the shop.
BULLRING POLICIES:
- Pit area speed limit is 5 mph for all vehicles, racecars included.
- Golf carts, scooters, quads, or similar motorized vehicles are not allowed in the pits. (This rule applies for all SRL events)
- Trailers may be left in the pit area overnight. The pit area will be secured each night of the event. You may also leave your trailer in the pit area Saturday night and pick it up Sunday morning. No overnight camping in pit area.
NEW POLICIES:
SPOTTER’S RADIOS: Each spotter must have a scanner, or a separate radio that is dedicated to the SRL Race Control frequency at 460.0125. No longer may you use a radio that scans Race Control secondary, as it interferes with communication to the spotter, which then leads to directions not being heard. If you need radio service and/or products, please contact Frank’s Radio at 800-869-9712.
REAR ENDS: Starting at the Las Vegas Bullring event on May 5th– Cars utilizing a working locked rear end (i.e. a spool or similar) may deduct 50lbs off their total weight. CRA and the Southern Super Series have already adopted this rule.
REMINDER FROM THE 2018 RULE BOOK: Mandatory by June 9th– The Nelson Specialties/SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series spec wiring harness is mandatory and may be removed or swapped with the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series wiring harness at anytime.
