WISE IN PLM CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD
Bakersfield, CA – With his third-place finish at Kern County Raceway Park on June 18th, Seth Wise enters Round #7 of the 2022 Spears Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services leading Tyler Reif by 36 points, in the race for the championship. The “51 FIFTY LTM 60 presented by SPS” will take place at The New Stockton 99 Speedway on July 16th. It will be the fifth time the series has visited Stockton, but the first in 2022.
Wise has visited the historic ¼-mile only once in his Pro Late Model. He finished fifth in that effort, with a 21-car field. The track is known for its tight racing and for action-packed excitement. As the championship leader, Wise will have to walk a fine line between aggression and persistence.
“I would say our goal is to always try and win, while being as safe as possible with our equipment”, Wise stated. “Patient but aggressive,” is something I often hear from my team. Being a small family team, we know we don’t have the resources for a quick rebound if we wreck our car. But we always show up wanting to win. With five races left, we’d really like a couple more wins, so we’re going to focus and work hard to finish this season off strong!”
Wise is a two-time winner in the Spears Pro Late Model Series, turning the trick twice at the Kern County Raceway Park’s ½-mile. It is consistency that has seen Wise jump to the top of the championship standings. He has one 2022 win to go along with five top-fives and six top-10’s. His worst finish was a ninth on the 1/3-mile at ALL AMERICAN SPEEDWAY – ROSEVILLE CA. He will seek to continue that trend and increase his championship lead on July 16th.
Admission Gates open at 5:00 pm on Saturday. Qualifying for the SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services will begin at 5:15 pm with the Spears Srl Southwest Tour Series following. Opening Ceremonies are up next with racing starting at 6:00 pm. Main Events begin with the Jr. B4 Cylinders, Bombers, SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series – “51FIFTY 60 presented by SPS”, B4 Cylinders and wrap up the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series – JM Environmental Inc. Wild West Shootout “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap 127 presented by 51 FIFTY LTM”.
